What Does Joshua 22:25 Mean?
The eastern tribes voice the very words they dread to hear one day: You have no part in the Lord. They feared the Jordan, set by God as a border, might harden into a barrier, and that the western children would push their own children away from the fear of the Lord.
The river of geography must never become a wall in the spirit. Their worry was that an accident of land would be turned into a verdict on belonging. So the people of God are warned never to let outward differences -- place, portion, or boundary -- decide who shares in the Lord. All who fear Him have a part in Him, and no border can undo that.
