What Does Joshua 5:12 Mean?
As soon as they eat the grain of the land, the manna ceases. The daily bread that had fallen for forty years stops, and from now on they live from the fruit of Canaan. One provision gives way to another at exactly the right moment.
God's care did not lessen; it changed form. The manna sustained them through the wilderness, and the harvest of the land sustains them now. He gives what each season requires, never leaving His people without provision, and He brings every wilderness, in its time, to its appointed end.
