1 Corinthians 6 for Kids

For Kids · 4 min with a grown-up

1 Corinthians is a letter Paul wrote to help God's family love God and each other. In this part, Paul helps them be kind instead of taking each other to court.

Today's Story

Paul kept writing to his friends in Corinth. He had heard something that made him sad. When two of God's people had a problem with each other, they were running off to fight about it in front of strangers, like enemies who did not love each other at all.

“Wait,” Paul said. “You are family! Why not sit down together and work it out gently? It is better to forgive than to keep score.”

Then Paul reminded them of something amazing. “You belong to Jesus now,” he said. “He washed you clean and made you new.” They did not have to keep doing the mean and messy things they used to do.

Paul told them one more wonderful thing. “Your body is a special place,” he said. “God's own Spirit lives inside you, like a treasure in a temple. So use your hands, your feet, your mouth, your whole self to do good and to honor God.”

“You are not your own,” Paul said with a smile. “You belong to the One who loves you. So shine!”
