2 Chronicles 9 for Kids

For Kids · 4 min with a grown-up

A faraway queen hears about King Solomon and travels a very long way to see if the stories are true. What she finds takes her breath away.

Today's Story

Far, far away lived a queen. People called her the Queen of Sheba. She kept hearing amazing stories about King Solomon — how wise he was, how much he knew. “Could it really be true?” she wondered.

So she packed up a long line of camels and traveled a very long way to find out for herself. She brought gold and spices and sparkling jewels as gifts.

When she met Solomon, she asked him the hardest questions she could think of. Every single one, Solomon answered. Nothing was too hard for him! She saw his beautiful palace, his good food, and the careful way everything was done.

The queen could hardly believe her eyes. “I didn't believe the stories,” she said, “but now I see they are true — and the truth is even bigger! Praise be to the LORD your God, who made you king.”

People came from everywhere to hear the wisdom God had put in Solomon's heart. Solomon ruled for many years. And when his long life was over, his son became king after him.
