Paul keeps writing his letter to God's family. In this part, he tells them why he never gives up, even when things are hard.
Today's Story
Paul wanted God's family to know the truth: his life was not easy. People were mean to him. Some days were scary. Some days he was very tired.
But Paul said the same brave words over and over: “We do not give up.”
How could he keep going? Paul gave a beautiful picture. He said God's people are like clay jars — the simple cups and pots a family keeps in the kitchen. A clay jar is not fancy. It can even crack. But Paul said God puts His shining treasure inside these plain little jars.
We are the jars. God's love and power are the treasure. So when we feel weak and small, that is okay! It just means everyone can see that the strength is coming from God, not from us.
Paul said the hard things would not last forever, but God's good things would last and last. So he kept his eyes on the things that last. And he did not give up.

Talk About It
- What is something hard you have wanted to give up on lately?
- How does it help to know God's strength is inside you, even when you feel weak?
- Who is someone you could cheer on so they don't give up either?
