2 Corinthians 5 for Kids

For Kids · 4 min with a grown-up

Paul keeps writing to God's family. In this part, he shares the happiest news: when we belong to Jesus, God makes us brand new.

Today's Story

Paul had wonderful news, and he could not wait to tell God's family. He said, “Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new creation!”

What does that mean? It means God can make our hearts brand new. The old grumpy, far-away feelings get washed away, and something fresh and clean begins. Paul said, “The old has gone. The new is here!”

It is a little like spring. After the cold, gray winter, suddenly green leaves and bright flowers pop up everywhere. Everything feels new again. That is what God does inside a person who loves Jesus.

And God gave His family a special job. He calls us His helpers who carry good news. We get to tell people, “God loves you! He wants to be your friend!” Paul said it is like we are messengers, sharing God's invitation with everyone we meet.

God made us new — and now we help others find that same fresh new start.
