2 Corinthians 6 for Kids

For Kids · 4 min with a grown-up

2 Corinthians is a letter Paul wrote to help God's family love God and love each other.

Paul loved the people in a city called Corinth, so he wrote them a letter that was very honest.

Today's Story

Paul had a big job helping people learn about God. It was not always easy. Some days Paul was tired. Some days people were unkind to him. Some days he was hungry, and some nights he could not sleep.

But Paul did not quit. He kept being kind. He kept being patient. He kept loving people, even the ones who were mean to him.

In his letter Paul says, “We don't want to put anything in anyone's way.” He wanted his life to point people to God, so he stayed gentle and true no matter what happened.

Then Paul wrote something wonderful. He told the people God says, “I will be a Father to you. You will be my sons and daughters.” That means God is not far away. God wants us close, like a loving dad who pulls his children in for a hug.

So when hard days come — and they do — we can remember we belong to God. He is holding us the whole time.
