2 Corinthians is a letter Paul wrote to help God's family love God and love each other.
In this part of the letter, Paul is so happy he can hardly sit still.
Today's Story
Paul had been worried. He had written the people in Corinth a hard letter, because some of them had been doing wrong things. Paul did not know how they would feel about it. His heart was heavy while he waited to hear back.
Then his friend Titus came with good news! The people had read Paul's letter, and instead of getting angry, they felt sorry for what they had done. They said they were sorry to God and started doing what was right again.
When Paul heard this, joy bubbled up inside him. He wrote, “I am filled with comfort. I am overflowing with joy.” He was not happy that they felt bad — he was happy that feeling sorry led them back to God.
Saying sorry can feel hard, like swallowing a lump in your throat. But on the other side of sorry is something sweet: things get fixed, friends hug again, and God fills us with peace.
