2 Thessalonians is a letter Paul wrote to help God's family love God and love each other.
He sent it to friends in a city far away who were having a hard time.
Today's Story
A long time ago, Paul had some friends who loved Jesus. They lived together far away in a city, and they were like a big family. But things were hard for them. Some people were being mean to them just because they loved God.
So Paul picked up his pen and wrote them a letter. He wanted to wrap his arms around them with his words.
“I thank God for you,” Paul wrote. “Your love for God keeps growing bigger and bigger. And even when life is hard, you keep on trusting Him.”
Then Paul told them a happy secret. The hard things would not last forever. One day Jesus will come back. He will wipe away every tear. He will make everything sad come untrue, and He will make everything right.
“So keep going,” Paul said. “I am praying for you every day. I am asking God to make you strong and to help you do every good thing you want to do.”
What a kind letter to get when your days feel heavy.
