2 Thessalonians 2 for Kids

For Kids · 3 min with a grown-up

2 Thessalonians is a letter Paul wrote to help God's family love God and love each other.

In this part, Paul helps his friends feel calm and safe.

Today's Story

Paul's friends were worried. Some people had been telling them mixed-up stories that made their hearts feel shaky and scared.

So Paul wrote to help them feel calm again. “Do not let your hearts be troubled,” he said. “Do not be upset by these stories. God is still in charge of everything.”

Paul reminded them that one day, sad things will end and Jesus will fix everything. Until then, Paul told them to hold on tight to what is true, like holding a parent's hand in a busy place.

Then Paul prayed something beautiful for them. He asked God to comfort their hearts. He asked God to fill them with good hope — the kind that warms you up inside like a cozy blanket. And he asked God to make them strong to do good and kind things.

So even when the world felt loud and confusing, Paul's friends could rest. God loved them. God chose them. And God would never let them go.
