Acts 10 for Kids

God teaches Peter a wonderful lesson: the good news about Jesus is for EVERYONE.

Today's Story

Cornelius was a Roman soldier — not part of God's people, Israel — but he loved God and prayed and was kind to the poor. One day an angel told him, “Send for a man named Peter.”

Meanwhile, God gave Peter a vision to teach him something important. In Peter's time, Jewish people and people from other nations usually didn't mix. But God showed Peter, “Don't call anyone ‘unclean’ or ‘less than.’ I love ALL people the same!”

So when Cornelius's messengers came, Peter went with them. He walked right into Cornelius's house — something he never would have done before — and said, “Now I understand! God doesn't have favorites. He accepts people from EVERY nation who love and obey Him.”

Then Peter told Cornelius and his whole family the good news about Jesus. And as they listened, the Holy Spirit filled them all — Roman people, not just Jewish people! Everyone was amazed. God's love and good news were truly for everyone, everywhere.
