Acts 25 for Kids

For Kids · 4 min with a grown-up

Through all his troubles, Paul trusts that God has a bigger plan — even an exciting one.

Today's Story

Paul had been waiting a long time, moving from one ruler to the next, still being accused by people who didn't like him. Now he stood before a new governor named Festus. The leaders still wanted to harm Paul, but he hadn't done anything wrong.

Paul knew he had a right, as a Roman citizen, to have his case heard by the highest ruler of all — Caesar, the emperor in Rome. So Paul said boldly, “I appeal to Caesar!” That meant he would be sent all the way to Rome, the biggest, most important city, to tell his story.

Now, this might have looked like more trouble. But do you remember what Jesus had promised Paul? “You must tell about Me in Rome!” God was using all of this — even the unfair treatment — to carry out His plan. He was getting Paul to Rome, so even the emperor and the great city could hear about Jesus!

God's plans are always bigger than our problems. Even when things seemed hard and slow, God was working everything out, step by step, exactly as He promised.
