Acts 27 for Kids

For Kids · 4 min with a grown-up

Paul sails toward Rome and runs into a terrible storm at sea — but God gives him courage to share hope with everyone on board.

Today's Story

Paul was finally sailing to Rome — but on the way, a HUGE storm hit the ship! The wind howled, the waves crashed, and the storm went on for days and days. It was so dark and scary that everyone on board lost hope. They thought the ship would surely sink, and that they would all be lost!

But not Paul. One night, an angel of God stood beside him and said, “Don't be afraid, Paul. You WILL reach Rome. And God will keep everyone on this ship safe!” So Paul stood up among all 276 frightened people and said, “Take courage! I have faith in God. He told me not one of us will be lost. We're going to be okay!”

Paul's calm faith gave everyone hope. Finally, the ship crashed onto the shore of an island and broke apart in the pounding waves. But just as God had promised — every single person made it safely to land! Not one was lost!

In the middle of life's scariest storm, Paul trusted God and had courage. And God kept His promise to bring everyone safely through.
