The wise Teacher is honest: some things about life are just too big for us to fully understand. But he shows us how to live with peace and joy anyway.
Today's Story
The Teacher had spent his whole life trying to figure things out. He was very, very wise. And yet, he admitted something surprising.
“There are things,” he said, “that I just cannot understand.” He looked at the world and saw puzzles. Sometimes hard things happened to good people. Sometimes he couldn't see why something turned out the way it did. He searched and searched, but some answers stayed too high for him to reach.
Then the Teacher said something wise. Even though we can't understand everything, God still sees the whole picture. God knows the parts we can't see. And it goes well, in the end, for the people who love and honor Him.
So what should we do with the days we're given? The Teacher had a happy answer. He said to enjoy them! Eat your food, be glad, and do good work — with a cheerful heart. We don't have to figure everything out to be happy. We can leave the big mysteries with God and simply enjoy the good day in front of us.

- How does it help to know that God sees the whole picture, even the parts we can't figure out?
- The Teacher says we can be glad and enjoy our day even with mysteries left over. What is one thing you're glad about today?
