At a special dinner, brave Queen Esther finally speaks up to save her people.
Today's Story
At Esther's special dinner, the king again asked, “What is it you want, Queen Esther? I'll give you anything!” Esther took a deep breath. Now was the moment. It was time to be brave.
“Your Majesty,” she said, “if you are pleased with me, please save my life and the lives of my people! For someone has made a wicked plan to destroy us all.” The king was shocked. “Who would dare do such a thing? Who is it?”
Esther pointed bravely. “The enemy is this wicked Haman!” The king was furious to learn that Haman had tricked him into a plan to harm Queen Esther's people. Haman was terrified, for now his evil plan was uncovered.
In the end, the very harm that Haman had planned for others came back on himself. The king had Haman taken away, and Queen Esther and her people were safe. Esther's bravery, and God's perfect timing, had saved a whole nation!
