Hosea was a messenger for God. In this part, God shares how much He misses His people — and how much He wants them close again.
Today's Story
God had something on His heart, and He asked Hosea to say it out loud to His people.
“Listen, My people,” God said. “I have something to tell you, because I love you.”
God looked at the land He had given them. Once it had been full of kindness. People told the truth. People helped each other. People remembered who God was and talked to Him every day.
But little by little, they had forgotten. They stopped being honest. They stopped being gentle with each other. And worst of all, they stopped getting to know God — the One who had loved them the whole time.
It made God sad, the way you feel sad when a good friend stops coming around and slowly forgets all about you.
So God sent Hosea to remind them. “Come back,” God was saying. “Get to know Me again. I am still right here.”
God did not give up on them. He never does. Even when His people wandered far away, His love kept calling them home.

Talk About It
- What is one thing you sometimes forget — your shoes, a chore, or saying thank you? How does it feel when someone helps you remember?
- God's people forgot to spend time with Him. What is one little way you could spend time with God today?
- God kept loving His people even when they wandered far. How does it feel to know God never stops loving you?
