In this chapter, God told Jeremiah that some hard days were coming for the people. But God also tucked a beautiful promise inside — a promise about coming home.
Today's Story
God gave Jeremiah a hard message. He had to tell the people that, because they kept turning away, a sad time was coming. One day they would have to leave their homes and live far away in another land for a while.
That is a hard thing to hear. But God did not stop there. He never leaves His people without hope.
God made a wonderful promise. He said, “The day is coming when I will bring My people back. I will gather them from every far-away place and lead them home again to the good land I gave them.”
Even when things looked sad, God was already planning the happy ending. He is like a shepherd who will go anywhere to bring his sheep home. No matter how far away you feel, God always knows the way to bring you back to Him.
