Job is a good man who is having a very hard time. His three friends keep telling him it must be his own fault. In Job 13, Job answers them back.
Today's Story
Job was tired. His friends had talked and talked, and none of it helped.
“I have heard all of this before,” Job told them. “You think you know so much. But you are not helping me at all. You are like doctors who don't fix anything!”
“The best thing you could do,” Job said, “is be quiet for a little while.”
Then Job said something brave. “I don't want to keep arguing with you,” he said. “I want to talk to God Himself. I have questions for Him. And I am not afraid to ask.”
Job's friends thought he should just stay quiet and pretend everything was fine. But Job knew he could bring his real feelings — even his sad ones, even his confused ones — straight to God.
And then Job said the bravest thing of all: “Even if everything goes wrong,” he said, “I will still trust God. I will hold on to Him no matter what.”

Talk About It
- Job brought his sad and confused feelings straight to God instead of hiding them. What is one feeling you could tell God about today?
- Job's friends thought he should just pretend everything was fine. Why do you think God would rather we tell Him the truth about how we feel?
- Job said he would trust God even when things were hard. What is something hard right now that you could still trust God with?
