Job 25 for Kids

For Kids · 3 min with a grown-up

Job is a good man who is having a very hard time. His friends keep talking, trying to explain why. Now it is Bildad's turn again.

Today's Story

Job has three friends who have been sitting with him. One of them is named Bildad. It is his turn to talk now, and his speech is very short.

Bildad looks up at the night sky. He thinks about how big God is.

“God rules over everything,” Bildad says. “He keeps the whole sky in order. No one can even count all His stars.”

Then Bildad says something that makes you stop and think. “Next to God, even the moon is not bright. Even the stars are not pure. So how could any person be good enough all by themselves?”

Bildad is trying to say that God is so great and so clean and bright that nobody can stand next to Him and brag.

And that part is true. God really is bigger and brighter than the sun, the moon, and every star put together. But God is not far away and scary. The same big God leans down close to people who are sad — people just like Job.

A Big Word

Memory Verse

Talk About It

  1. Go outside tonight, if you can, and look up. What is the biggest thing you can see in the sky?
  2. Bildad says even the stars are not as bright as God. What does that tell you about how amazing God is?
  3. God is huge, but He still wants to be close to you. How does that make you feel?
