After his friend finished talking, Job answered back. He started to think about how very big and wonderful God is.
Today's Story
Job thought about God, and his eyes grew wide with wonder.
“God is so wise,” Job said. “He is so strong! He made the stars way up in the sky — the Big Bear, the bright group called the Seven Stars, and all the rooms of the south sky.”
“God does amazing things,” Job said. “More wonders than anyone could ever count! He moves the mountains. He spreads out the sky. He walks on the waves of the sea.”
God was so big and so great that Job felt very small. “How could a person like me ever talk with someone so mighty?” he wondered.
Then Job said something that came straight from his heart. “I wish there were someone who could stand right between me and God. A friend who could take my hand and God's hand and bring us together.”
Job did not know it yet, but God had a plan for exactly that kind of friend. God is great and mighty — and He also wants to be close to you, near enough to hold your hand.
