On His last night, Jesus prays — and amazingly, He prays for YOU, even though you weren't born yet.
Today's Story
On His last night, Jesus lifted His eyes to heaven and prayed a long, beautiful prayer to His Father.
First, He prayed for Himself — that God would be honored through everything that was about to happen.
Then He prayed for His twelve friends — that God would keep them safe, fill them with joy, and help them stay strong after He was gone. “Protect them,” Jesus prayed. “Keep them close to You.”
And then Jesus prayed something amazing. He said, “I'm not just praying for these friends. I'm praying for EVERYONE who will ever believe in Me.”
Do you know what that means? Jesus was praying for the people who would hear about Him later — including YOU! On His very last night, Jesus prayed for you. He asked that all His people would be ONE, joined together in love, and that we'd be with Him forever.
Jesus loved us so much that He prayed for us before we were even born. And He's still praying for us today.
