The strongest man in the world gets thirsty — and learns that even he needs God's help.
Today's Story
Samson kept using his God-given strength to protect God's people from the Philistines, who were hurting them. Time after time, with God's power, Samson did mighty things. The Philistines were amazed and afraid of how strong he was.
After one big victory, Samson was completely worn out and SO thirsty. He felt like he might faint! Even the strongest man in the world has needs he can't meet by himself. So Samson did the right thing: he called out to God. “Lord, You gave me this great victory. Now I'm so thirsty. Please help me!”
And God heard Samson's prayer. God caused water to come bubbling up from the ground, and Samson drank and was refreshed and strong again! Even mighty Samson needed God, and God lovingly took care of him.
It's a good reminder: no matter how strong or capable we are, we ALL need God. And when we call out to Him, He hears us and helps us.
