Jesus tells about a wonderful party — and who gets invited might surprise you.
Today's Story
Jesus was eating dinner at someone's house, and He told a story about a great feast. “A man prepared a huge banquet and invited many guests. When everything was ready, he sent his servant to say, ‘Come! It's all ready!’”
“But the guests made excuses. One said, ‘I just bought a field — I can't come.’ Another said, ‘I bought some oxen.’ Another, ‘I just got married.’ One by one, they all said no.”
“The master was sad, but then he had a wonderful idea. ‘Go out into the streets,’ he told his servant, ‘and invite the poor, the blind, the lame — everyone who is usually left out! Bring them all in. I want my house to be full!’” So the servant gathered all kinds of people who never expected an invitation, and the feast was full of joy.
Jesus was showing us something beautiful: God throws a great feast of love and invites EVERYONE — especially the people the world overlooks. No one is too poor, too small, or too forgotten. God says, “Come! There's a place for you!”

Talk About It
- The first guests made excuses and missed the feast. What kinds of things can make us “too busy” for God?
- The master invited the poor and the overlooked. How does it feel that God invites EVERYONE to His feast of love?
- God says, “Come! There's a place for you!” How can we help invite others to know God's love?
