Jesus tells His friends about the future — that hard times will come, but He will come back, so we should stay ready and not be afraid.
Today's Story
Jesus and His friends were looking at the beautiful temple, and the disciples asked Jesus about the future — what would happen, and when?
Jesus told them honestly that hard times would come — troubles and scary things in the world. “But don't be afraid,” He said. “Don't be alarmed. These things happen, but I am with you, and God is still in control.”
“Heaven and earth will pass away,” Jesus said, “but My words will never pass away.” Everything else might change or fall apart — but God's words are forever true. We can always stand on them.
And Jesus gave the best news of all: one day, He would come BACK, in glory and power, to gather His people. So He told them, “Stay awake! Be ready! Keep watching for Me, like servants waiting for their master to come home.”
We don't need to be scared about the future, even when the world seems shaky. We just need to stay close to Jesus and be ready — because He's coming back, and He always keeps His word.
