A mom from far away shows such big faith that Jesus stops to praise it.
Today's Story
Jesus traveled to a region where many people weren't part of God's people, Israel. A woman from there came running to Him, crying out, “Lord, help me! My daughter is suffering terribly!” She believed Jesus could help, even though she was a foreigner.
At first Jesus was quiet, gently testing her faith. The disciples wanted to send her away. But the woman wouldn't give up. She knelt down. “Lord, help me!” she begged. She had such humble, determined faith.
Jesus was so pleased! “Woman,” He said warmly, “you have great faith! What you asked for is done.” And at that very moment, her daughter was healed back at home.
This showed something beautiful: Jesus loves and welcomes people from EVERY land and family — not just one nation. His love and help are for everyone who comes to Him in faith.
Soon after, Jesus fed another huge crowd — four thousand people — with just a few loaves and fish, caring for them just like before.
