It's the third day after the saddest day. Some women go to Jesus' tomb in the early morning — and find the biggest surprise in all of history.
Today's Story
Very early on Sunday morning, some women who loved Jesus walked sadly toward His tomb. Jesus had died, and their hearts were broken.
Suddenly the ground shook! An angel, shining like lightning, rolled away the big stone from the front of the tomb and sat right on top of it. The guards were so scared they froze like statues.
“Don't be afraid,” the angel said gently. “I know you're looking for Jesus. But He's not here — He has risen, just like He said! Come, look — the tomb is empty. Now go, quick, and tell everyone!”
The women ran, hearts pounding, filled with joy and wonder. And on the way — there was Jesus Himself! Alive! “Greetings!” He said. They fell down, held onto His feet, and worshiped Him. It was really, truly Him.
“Don't be afraid,” Jesus said. “Go and tell My friends to come and see Me.”
Later, Jesus gathered His friends and gave them a big job: “Go and tell people everywhere about Me. Teach them to follow Me. And remember — I am with you always, to the very end.”
Jesus was alive! And He still is.

- Jesus said, “I am with you always.” How does it help to know Jesus is always with you?
