Philippians 1 for Kids

Philippians is a happy letter. A man named Paul wrote it to help God's family love God and love each other.

Today's Story

Paul had a lot of friends who loved God. They lived in a city called Philippi. Paul loved them very much, so he wrote them a letter.

Here is something surprising. When Paul wrote this happy letter, he was stuck in a prison! He could not go where he wanted. But Paul was still full of joy.

“Every time I think of you,” Paul wrote, “I thank my God for you.” When he prayed, he prayed for his friends with a big smile.

Paul wanted them to know a wonderful secret. He said, “God started a good work in you. And God will keep on doing that good work until it is all finished.”

That means God does not give up on us. When God starts loving us and helping us grow, He keeps going and going. He never quits.

Even in a hard place, Paul knew God was close. So Paul kept loving people and telling them about Jesus. His joy was too big for any prison to hold.
