For Kids · 3 min with a grown-up
Psalm 117 is the shortest chapter in the whole Bible - only two verses! But this little song has a great big heart.
Today's Story
Did you know the Bible has one chapter so short you can read it in one breath? This is it. Psalm 117 has just two little verses. You could memorize the whole thing today!
But don't let its small size fool you. This tiny song gives the biggest invitation in the world.
It starts: “Praise the Lord, all you nations. Praise him, all you people of the earth.” That means everybody. People who speak every language. People in every country. Kids and grown-ups, near and far - all invited to praise God together.
And why should everyone praise Him? The little song gives two huge reasons.
One: “Great is his love for us.” God's love is enormous, bigger than the sky.
Two: “The Lord is faithful forever.” His love never stops, never runs out, never ends. Not today, not in a hundred years, not ever.
A tiny song. A giant truth. God loves you, and that love lasts forever.
