Psalm 90 is a prayer written by Moses - the same Moses who led God's people out of Egypt. It is one of the oldest prayers in the whole Bible.
Today's Story
Moses had lived a long, long life. He had seen babies grow up and grandparents grow old. He had watched seasons come and go. And he learned something he wanted to pray about.
Moses prayed, “Lord, You have been our home for all time. Before the mountains were here, before the whole world was made, You were God - from forever to forever.”
Think about that. Mountains seem so big and old. But God was here before even one mountain stood. God has no beginning and no end. He is like a home that was always there and will always be there.
Then Moses noticed something else. Our lives go by quickly. He said we are a little like the grass - green and fresh in the morning, growing in the sunshine all day long.
So Moses prayed a wise prayer: “Lord, teach us to use our days well.” He wanted every day to count. And he asked God for the best gift of all: “Fill us each morning with Your love, so we can sing for joy all our days.”

Talk About It
- What makes a place feel like home to you? Moses said God Himself is our home. What do you think that means?
- God was here before the mountains and the oceans and the stars. How does it feel to know your God is that big and that old - and He still loves you?
- Moses asked God to help him use each day well. What is one good thing you would like to do with your day today?
