Revelation 10 for Kids

For Kids · 3 min with a grown-up

In John's dream, a mighty angel brings a tiny scroll — and gives John a job to do.

Today's Story

John looks up and sees a mighty angel coming down from heaven. He is wrapped in a cloud like a coat, with a rainbow over his head. His face shines like the sun, and he is so big that one foot stands on the sea and one foot stands on the land!

The angel holds a little scroll, open in his hand. He calls out with a voice as loud as a roaring lion. It is loud and grand and wonderful.

John starts to write down everything he sees. But a voice from heaven says, “Some things are a secret for now. You do not need to know everything.”

Then the angel tells John to take the little scroll and eat it. So John does! In his mouth it tastes as sweet as honey.

Why eat a scroll? It means John filled himself all the way up with God's message, so he could go and tell it to everyone. God's words are sweet, and they are meant to be shared.
