Revelation is a book of pictures God showed to a man named John. In them, Jesus is King, and Jesus wins.
Today's Story
God keeps showing John amazing pictures. In this one, two helpers stand up and tell the whole world the truth about God. They are brave. They keep telling people about God, even when nobody wants to listen.
For a while, it looks like the bad guys win. But God is not finished. God breathes life back into His two helpers, and they stand right up again. God always has the last word.
Then a loud, happy sound comes from heaven. Voices sing, “The kingdom of the world now belongs to our Lord and to his Messiah. He will rule for ever and ever!”
Did you hear that? Jesus is King — not just for today, not just for a year, but for ever and ever. And in heaven, everyone falls down and says thank You to God.
It does not matter how big a problem looks. God is bigger. God wins. And one day everyone will see that Jesus is King.
A Big Word
Memory Verse
Talk About It
- When something feels too big or too hard for you, who can you ask for help?
- God's two helpers were brave and kept telling the truth. When is a time you can be brave?
- What does it mean that Jesus will be King for ever and ever — even longer than you can count?
