Revelation 12 for Kids

For Kids · 3 min with a grown-up

Revelation is full of pictures God showed to John. They remind us that God protects His family, and Jesus wins.

Today's Story

In this picture, God shows John a story about good and bad — and how good wins.

There is a baby, a very special baby. This baby will grow up to rule the whole world with love. But there is a big, scary dragon who does not want anything good to happen. The dragon tries to stop the baby.

But God is watching. God lifts the baby up and keeps Him safe. And God keeps the mother safe too, in a special place where the dragon cannot reach her. God takes care of His own.

Then a battle happens in heaven. A brave angel named Michael and God's angels stand up to the dragon — and the dragon loses! A loud voice in heaven shouts, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God have come!”

The dragon is strong, but God is so much stronger. The dragon never, ever wins. God keeps His children safe, and good wins in the end.

A Big Word

Memory Verse

Talk About It

  1. When do you feel safest? Who helps you feel that way?
  2. The dragon was big and scary, but God was bigger. What is something that feels scary to you that God is bigger than?
  3. How does it feel to know God is always watching over you, even at night when you sleep?
