Revelation 22 for Kids

For Kids · 3 min with a grown-up

Revelation is the last book in the Bible, and this is its very last chapter — the happy ending of the whole Bible story.

Today's Story

An angel shows John the most beautiful sight. Right through the middle of God's new city flows a bright, clear river — the river of the water of life, sparkling like glass.

On each side of the river grows the tree of life, full of fruit all year long. Its leaves help and heal people. Everything here is alive and well and good. There is no more dark and no more sad, because God Himself is the light, and His people get to see His face and be with Him always.

Then Jesus speaks a promise three times, like a happy drumbeat: “Look! I am coming soon!” He is coming to bring all of this to His people. He is the Beginning and the End, the One who was there at the start and will be there forever.

Jesus says, “Come!” Anyone who is thirsty can come and drink the water of life, free, as a gift. Everyone is welcome — including you.

And so the whole Bible ends with a happy, hopeful cheer: “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!” What a wonderful ending — and a wonderful beginning of forever with Him.

A Big Word

Memory Verse

Talk About It

  1. When someone you love is coming to visit, how do you feel while you wait for them?
  2. Jesus promises, “I am coming soon.” What is one thing you would love to tell Him or ask Him when He comes?
  3. Jesus says “Come” to everyone, like the kindest invitation ever. Who is one person you could tell about His invitation?
