Revelation 21 for Kids

For Kids · 4 min with a grown-up

Revelation is the last book in the Bible. Here John sees the most wonderful thing of all — the brand new world God is making for His people.

Today's Story

John looks, and he sees something brand new — a new heaven and a new earth! Everything sad and broken is gone. God is making the whole world fresh and beautiful, better than it has ever been.

A shining city comes down from God, sparkling like a bride dressed up for the happiest day. And John hears a big voice say the most wonderful words: “Look! God now lives with His people. He will be with them, and they will be His.”

Then comes the best part of all. God Himself will gently wipe every tear from their eyes. “There will be no more death or sadness. There will be no more crying or pain.” All the things that ever made us cry will be gone — forever and ever.

God says, “Look! I am making everything new!” The new city shines brighter than gold, with gates like giant pearls and walls full of color. There is no need for the sun, because God is the light.

This is the home God has been getting ready all along — a place of joy, with no more tears, where His people live with Him forever.

A Big Word

Memory Verse

Talk About It

  1. What is something that made you sad or made you cry this week?
  2. God promises that one day there will be no more crying or pain ever again. How does it feel to know He will wipe away every tear Himself?
  3. In the new world, God lives right with His people. If you could be with God in a beautiful new home, what would you most want to do there?
