Revelation is the last book in the Bible. John saw how Jesus beats every bad thing and keeps His people safe forever.
Today's Story
In John's picture, there has been an enemy of God for a very long time — the one who whispers lies and tries to lead people away from God. He has caused so much trouble.
But now his time is up. God locks him away, and at last he is finished — gone for good. He can never trick or hurt anyone ever again. The bad one loses, and he loses forever.
Then John sees a great, shining throne, and God sitting on it. Everyone who has ever lived stands before Him. God opens His books, because He knows every single thing each person ever did. Nothing is hidden from Him. God is the fair Judge, and He always does what is right.
And John sees one very special book. It is called the Book of Life. In it are the names of all the people who belong to Jesus. What a wonderful thing — to have your name written safe in Jesus' book!
The enemy is gone. God is in charge. And His people are safe with Him. Jesus wins.
