Lamentations 5:16 Meaning and Explanation

'The crown is fallen from our head.' The crown represents honor, dignity, sovereignty, all that made the nation glorious. Now it has fallen, lost. The people are stripped of every mark of distinction and brought low. The fallen crown is the emblem of all they have forfeited.
