What Does Luke 11:40 Mean?
Ye fools -- the rebuke of a teacher confronting willful blindness. The Maker of the outward man made the inward man too; the God who formed hands also formed hearts.
The logic dismantles all surface religion. A God who created the inner life will not be satisfied with the outer shell. Nothing in us is beyond his sight, and nothing in us is outside his claim. The verse calls us to hand over the whole vessel -- inside first -- to the One who made it.
