What Does Luke 7:19 Mean?
From prison John sends two disciples with a direct question: "Art thou he that should come?" — the Coming One of prophetic hope. John had heralded one whose fan was in His hand, who would burn the chaff with fire (Luke 3:16-17); reports of healing and mercy did not match the judgment he expected, and Herod still sat secure.
