What Does Luke 7:23 Mean?
Jesus adds a final word aimed tenderly at John: blessed is the one who is not "offended" — made to stumble — because of Me. A Messiah who heals instead of toppling Herod, who leaves His own forerunner in prison, can become a stone to trip over.
