What Does Luke 9:28 Mean?
Luke ties this scene to the sayings that precede it: about eight days after the promise that some would see the kingdom, Jesus climbs a mountain to pray, taking Peter, John, and James. As at his baptism, and through the night before he chose the Twelve, the great unveiling will happen in an atmosphere of prayer.
