What Does Luke 9:31 Mean?
Luke alone reports the topic of conversation on the mountain: they spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem. The Greek word is exodus, a departure, a going out. As Moses once led Israel out of bondage through the sea, Jesus will lead a greater deliverance through his death and rising at Jerusalem.
