What Does Mark 11:10 Mean?
The cry widens from the King to the kingdom. The people bless 'the kingdom of our father David,' voicing Israel's long hope that David's fallen throne would be raised up again, as God had promised (2 Samuel 7:12-16; Amos 9:11). 'Hosanna in the highest' calls on heaven itself to join the welcome.
