What Does Mark 4:8 Mean?
At last the seed meets soil that is soft, deep, and clean, and everything the seed carried within it is released. The harvest climbs from thirty grains for one, to sixty, to a hundred, an abundance recalling the blessing of God on Isaac, who sowed and reaped a hundredfold.
The parable does not end in failure but in glory. Despite path, rock, and thorns, the sower gets his harvest, and it is overwhelming; the word of God does not return empty.
