What Does Mark 5:33 Mean?
She knows she is found. She comes fearing and trembling -- a woman the law called unclean, who has just touched a holy teacher -- and falls where Jairus fell, at his feet, and tells him "all the truth": the twelve years, the exclusion, the plan, the touch, the healing.
It is a costly confession, spoken before neighbors who knew her shame. But truth told at the feet of Jesus is always safe. She braces for rebuke and is about to receive the gentlest sentence anyone in this Gospel hears. Honesty before Christ -- the whole truth, nothing managed or hidden -- is the doorway through which healing becomes peace.
