What Does Mark 8:5 Mean?
Rather than conjuring provision out of the air, Jesus begins with an inventory. He turns the impossible situation back to the disciples and asks them to count what they are carrying. The count is small: seven loaves for a crowd of four thousand, with the nearest town far away.
