What Does Matthew 14:11 Mean?
The dreadful request is fulfilled to the letter. John's head is carried in on the platter, handed to the girl, and brought to Herodias, who at last holds the silence she schemed for. The banquet that began with dancing ends with a gruesome prize passed from hand to hand.
