What Does Matthew 18:10 Mean?
Jesus returns to the little ones and gives a tender reason not to despise them: in heaven their angels always behold the Father's face. The lowly and easily overlooked are held in highest regard before the throne of God.
To behold the face of the Father is to stand in His immediate presence, ever ready and ever near. If heaven attends so closely to these small ones, no one on earth dares treat them with contempt. The Lord weaves their care into the very life of heaven. Honor for the least is woven into the order of God's own house.
