The second servant receives a single word: likewise. With less capital and less notice, he does exactly what the first did — works, ventures, gains. His story is told briefly not because it matters less, but because it is the same story of faithfulness on a smaller scale.
When the reckoning comes, this servant will hear precisely the commendation the first one hears (verse 23). The master measures fidelity, not totals. That is deep encouragement for everyone whose gifts feel ordinary: the two-talent life, fully used, stands level with the five-talent life in the joy of the lord.
