What Does Matthew 26:32 Mean?
Before the failure arrives, Jesus has already appointed the reunion. After I am risen, He says -- His death and resurrection spoken as settled fact -- I will go before you into Galilee, the home country where He first called them.
Go before is shepherd language: the flock will scatter, but the Shepherd will gather it again, walking ahead as shepherds do. Restoration is promised before the denial is even committed. Grace prepares the meeting place while the sheep still insist they will never run.
