What Does Micah 3:4 Mean?
A day of reckoning comes, and then the leaders will cry to the Lord. But He will not answer; He will hide His face from them. The deafness they showed the cries of the oppressed is now answered in kind.
This is sobering justice: those who would not hear are not heard. Yet the silence is not God's delight; it is the harvest of hardened lives that refused Him while there was time. The verse urges us to seek the Lord while He may be found and to keep our own ears open to the cries around us, so that our prayers are not shadowed by our deafness to others.
